Moving away from home and into halls at university can be a challenging experience… but don’t panic, your Brunel Residences Ambassadors team are here to help.
The Brunel Residences Ambassadors, or RAs, are a group of 30 returning students who have been hired by Residences to provide you with support during your time living in halls at Brunel University. As returning students, we have first hand knowledge of what it’s like to be living away from home for the first time and adapting to university life. The RAs also go through extensive training to make sure that we can provide all the information you could possibly need when studying and living at Brunel.
We have dedicated RAs assigned to each first year hall who are on hand two nights a week. You can chat to them about anything from concerns over your course, to your packed social schedule, to the latest Team Brunel triumphs, to how much you miss your pets! Find out who your RAs are using the menu above.
If you are returning to Brunel or are starting your postgraduate research and are living in halls, the team are also available in the Bishop Post Room to offer any support or guidance and answer any burning questions that you may have. We’ll also be popping into your hall to say ‘Hi’ throughout the year, so make sure to stop and chat if you see us around.
We want to make sure you have the best time possible whilst living in halls at Brunel, so we run plenty of events to keep you busy and help you meet new people on campus. Some of our previous events have included: Movie Nights, Chilli Eating Competitions, Charity Fundraising, The BRU-Q Quiz, The Meals in Minutes Cooking Series, and many more. Our events are free and open to everyone living in on-campus accommodation. We’ll be posting about our upcoming events on the RA Hub, but make sure to follow us on social media for all the updates you need.
We hope you have an amazing year living in halls and we look forward to helping you make the most of the experience!
